My nail polish addiction started 2 years ago and since then I have acquired a ton of nail polish. Different storage solutions became unhelpful as my collection grew. I began searching for a way to store my nail polish so that I could see what I have without taking up a ton of counter space.
I got my storage idea from MissGlamorazzi in this video (Again, YouTube made me do it!). I got my clear shoe organizer on Amazon (Whitmor 6044-13-CTF White Crystal Collection Over-The-Door Shoe Organizer, Clear). It's such a cheap, organized storage solution! I love it.
I hang mine on my closet door. It is great because I don't need to make any holes in my wall to hang storage or take up counter space for a nail rack. And, again, you can't beat the price! I get a lot of complements from it. When someone walks into my room it has a wow factor. :)
I have mine organized by color. Some colors take up more than one pocket, others don't. I have some open space at the top because I am too short to reach up there (Haha!) and I like to keep track of some nail polishes I've wanted to use. I also keep recently purchased polishes up there.
On the bottom, I keep my top and bottom coats plus some other nail tools: toe separators, mixing trays, hand and nail cream, nail files, etc.
This is just the storage that I'm using right now, maybe I'll find something better in the future but I love this for now. I try to keep all the nail polishes upright but it can be kind of hard with this storage.
I hope you find this post helpful and enjoyed reading. Hope to see you back soon. ~ Alissa

My Journey | Hot Rollers + Mini Review
Today I tried the Conair Xtreme Instant Heat Jumbo And Super Jumbo Hair Setter with Super Clips for the first time. I bought them off of the recommendation of itsjudytime (One of those times where YouTube made me do it! Haha). I bought them off of Amazon when they were on sale for $17.99 earlier this week.
I know using hot rollers is sort of a learn-as-you-go sort of thing and I didn't expect a great look the first time. I was really curious and had nowhere to go today so I put them in.
As soon as you plug it in it starts heating up. Make sure that all the rollers are in there snuggly.
It took me around 15 minutes to put them in. Most of this time I was fumbling to place them correctly and not burn my fingers. The rollers were actually very hot and kind of hurt my fingers. Also, when I put them in they were really hot on my ears and neck. I actually dropped a few rollers on the floor because they were so hot.
The box says they warm up in 85 minutes and I left them to warm up for about three minutes. I eventually started taking the rollers out to cool down a bit before I used them and that seemed to help but I'm not sure if that will effect how well they work.
Today was also a really hot day; I think it was 90 degrees Fahrenheit so having hot rollers in wasn't very comfortable. I was planning on keeping them in for 20 minutes but it was so uncomfortably hot that I took them out after 10 minutes (which is the recommended time).
I know my hair and I know what it's like so I figured that I needed to leave them in for a really long time but I didn't. I should have at least left them in until they were cool but I didn't. :(
There were some results when I took them out. It looked really soft and natural with lots of volume. I knew they wouldn't last; my hair was still hot when I let it down so I knew they would fall. I still liked the look though. It was what I was going for.
It looked like this. I liked that it still gave my hair some volume and wave to spice up my ponytail. Thanks for coming with me on this journey! ~ Alissa

Spotted! ELF, SOHO Beauty, & Ardel Disney Snow White Collection
Last month it was Ariel, this month it's Snow White! When I got to the display at my local Walgreens it was very sad. I didn't see the SOHO Beauty bags or some of the smaller kits. Here is the display I saw.
It looks like it might of had everything but not anymore. Oh well! Let's go over what I did see. A lot of the products seem very similar to the Ariel collection just with a Snow White spin on it.
Just like with the Ariel collection, there are some Ardel Lashes in this really cute apple packaging. They were $7.99.
There also seems to be a brush set with 4 brushes and a carrying case. The brushes themselves seem like a completely different set of brushes than the Ariel collection. It was going for $9.99.
This smaller eye palette with a eyeliner really reminds me of the Disney Villains collection ELF came out with last year. I don't recall anything like this in the Ariel collection. It was going for $4.99. I think is a great deal! It's much cheaper than the beauty book.
I forgot to take a close up picture of the cover of the beauty book but here's what it comes with. The colors seem really similar to the smaller palette so if you're uninterested in all the extra stuff in this package try the smaller one. The beauty book is going for $9.99.
From what I can find online, it looks like there is a face set that comes with a blush/bronzer duo with a kabuki brush, a lip set with a lip stain, lip gloss, and a lip balm. I also know there are some bags. I'm unsure if there are hair accessories.
The prices I listed were from Walgreens.

Target Beauty Concierge and Findation.com
Hello! Sorry it has been awhile. Life just got really busy all of a sudden... Anyway! I was at Target recently (my favorite place in the world) and I finally got some help from a Target Beauty Concierge.
Sometimes when I go to the beauty isle they come up right away and ask if I need anything or other times they stand somewhere in the isle and wait for people to ask them for help. This time I asked the girl for help and she was very sweet and knowledgeable. She color matched me in a foundation I was looking at and, since that store only had the tester, she looked up other stores that carried it.
The girl was very nice and patient with me as she tried several shades on my face and gave me advice on which one I should get. She also gave me a little card with my foundation color so I wouldn't forget. She wasn't pushy about me buying the product nor did she try to sell me something I didn't want.
My only con is that she opened some brand new bottles of foundation to test on me and didn't label them as testers after we were done. It kinda grossed me out since someone might accidentally buy it.
She was also super sweet to recommend that I try a site called findation.com. She said that they can help you color match yourself to drugstore and high end foundations. Honestly, I would only use this site to match from drugstore to drugstore foundations and high end to drugstore foundations. I just think if you're gonna spend the money on a high end foundation you should get properly color matched at the store.
Anyway! The site works by asking you for the foundations you have already found a match in. They ask for at least 2 matches but you can add more for better accuracy. This site also works for powders; however, I wished they had concealer matches too.
As you can see from the picture, you search your current matches by brand, then product within that brand, then by shade. They don't have every foundation but I was able to find the ones I have.
After you click "Find my matches" it takes you to a separate page where you can see your determined matches in other products.
In the picture you can see some of my matches. You can also filter the products by brand to find your match in a specific product. Like I said, they don't have every foundation, especially super new ones, so don't be too disappointed but I have found that certain brands have a consistent color selections so use that to your advantage.
If you are the type of person who switches foundation shades through the year I would only use this tool with the shades that work for you year round OR only use the shades that match you at the moment and search again when you think you need a different shade.
I would not recommend this page if you only have a shade match in a sheer foundation or BB creme and are searching for your shade in a heavier coverage foundation because that might turn out terrible for obvious reasons. I still recommend that if you are unsure of your shade selection, buy from a store with a good return or exchange policy so you can get your perfect shade.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you try out the site and love what it can do for you! Also the next time you're in Target and need some help don't hesitate to ask the Beauty Concierge if your Target has one. If you're not sure if your local target has a Beauty Concierge try heading over to their website to find one near you! ~ Alissa

The Hunt | ELF Disney Ariel Treasure Within Beauty Book (w/ Pictures)
The hunt is over! I have found the ELF Disney Ariel Treasure Within Beauty Book and, thanks to my boyfriend, it is now mine! If you read my post yesterday, then you would know then I saw a small display yesterday at a local Walgreens. That display was pretty limited (probably because that Walgreens was under construction) but the one I found today was loaded! I found this display at the first Walgreens I went to. (Sorry the picture is blurry... Guess I was really excited)
They had almost the whole collection at this Walgreens. The only thing I didn't see was the makeup bag I got yesterday. They had the hair accessories and bags at the top and then the ELF stuff below that and then the Ardel lashes at the bottom.
I was hunting for the ELF Disney Ariel Treasure Within Beauty Book which they had tons of on this display. I got it for $9.99 and I got 450 points Wellness points on my Balance card. When it comes to makeup like this where it can be opened and touched I always inspect the products to find ones that haven't been tampered with. You also want to check that none of the pieces are missing.
The book comes with nine shadows, two brushes, two bronzers, and a lip gloss. There is also a guide to on looks you can create using the book. I won't go too deep into detail, instead I will link Emily's video below because I think she does an amazing job at reviewing this product.
If you're worried you wont be able to find this collection or are worried you will have to go on a massive hunt for it, do not fear. From what I can see there is still plenty out there. Happy Hunting! ~Alissa
