Skinnygirl Daily On-The-Go Bars Review

     I have been on a health kick recently and this has helped me along with that. I've been searching for a more filling, yummy snack bar. I was so happy when Influenster sent me this Skinnygirl Daily On-The-Go Bar in Greek Yogurt Blueberry Crisp. Now, I don't like greek yogurt but this was really good and I liked it a lot. It was tasted indulgent with the yogurt drizzle and base. The blueberry bits added some soft, sweet and sour that balanced great with the crisp of the rest of the bar. I like this much better than the Special K bars that I have been eating for years. They are also gluten free which is great for people who are allergic. 

     The bar is a great size and is very filling for only 180 calories. I get really hungry after my afternoon class so instead of reaching for a bag of chips and ruining my diet, I reached for this and it made me feel great about myself.
     The only downside is that it had a bit of a strange after taste and I think the yogurt part upset my stomach just a bit. I think that if I tried a different flavor I wouldn't have this problem. They have many other flavors so don't be afraid of this flavor, try others. 
     They are kind of pricey but there is always a sale on the Skinnygirl Daily website. If you use InfluensterFEB at checkout you can get 25% off. You can also find them in store in certain areas but check the website to check if they will be in your local store. I know that they don't sell them in my local stores so be careful. I hope I can get my hands on these sometime soon because I miss mine already.

Secret Clinical Strength Stress Response Review

     Ladies deal with every kind of stress on a daily basis. Stress causes acne, sweat, and so much more. All the things that stress causes just makes you stress out more! Thank Secret for coming out with something to help you with your stress sweat, leaving you with one less thing to stress over. When you're in a stressful situation the last thing you want is to sweat it out.
     I have used this deodorant almost everyday since I got it and I am enjoying it a lot so far. I have always used Secret deodorants but I always got the powder solids. This one is similar, but like a gel it comes out through holes and is a but more like a liquid. Instead of rubbing it on your arm pit you crank it up and kind of use the head of the package to spread it. It takes a while longer to dry than my usual deodorant but it lasts all day through the heat, stress, and exercise. There is the occasional sweating but it isn't enough to get on your clothes or anything like that.

     The smell is also very nice, it doesn't smell like a normal deodorant because it is more sweet than fresh smelling. I like it a lot because I can only smell it if I am sweating and it masking the smell of sweat nicely. They also have many other scents if citrus isn't your style.
     The only thing I have to complain about is that you use of product very quickly since you use a crank of product per arm pit every day. A normal powder solid will last much longer. If you can look past this, the product is great and will help if you have a slight sweat problem. I hope it works just as well in the spring and summer months.

Not Your Mother's® Beach Babe Review

     I craze I have seen every where is heat free hair styles. Everyone wants the look without causing damage to their hair. I for one have always been an advocate for using amazing products and skipping the curling iron.  Not Your Mother's Beach Babe spray has been heaven. I have been trying a lot of techniques to get the lovely beach waves and this has been there with me through my trials. No matter what I try the spray gives my hair what it needs to hold the style and make my hair look and feel amazing. 

     It has easy to follow instructions on the back and is so versatile that it can be used to create many looks. Even with a little research you can find many girls posting tutorials that work with a sea salt spray. I found a few on Pinterest and this helps me look just like the girls in the picture. It even works with my stick straight hair like a charm.
     It does have a slight fragrance but nothing over powering and it doesn't linger. It kind of smells like coconut, which is perfect for that beach vibe. The packaging is also very nice and the product gets equal distribution all over your hair. It also doesn't get all messy within the cap like some products, a plus. If you haven't tried a sea salt spray yet and the thought of spraying a homemade one in your hair frightens you (like it frightens me) I would try Not Your Mother's Beach Babe, its always on sale somewhere so keep an eye out.

Olay® Fresh Effects {Va-Va-Vivid!} Powered Contour Cleansing System Review

     Wow, just wow! I can't believe how fortunate I was to receive this beauty in the SweetHeart VoxBox complementary of Influenster. It retails for $12.99 at Target and for the power of this system is a complete steal! The system comes with the Va-Va-Vivid and the trial size of the Shine-Shine- Go Away cleanser. I've loved this baby so much that the writing on the Va-Va-Vivid has worn off. 
     The Shine-Shine- Go Away cleanser is very nice. It is a cream and it has tiny little beads in it. I put the cleanser on the Va-Va-Vivid and then dot it on my face and turn it on to lather it up. The lather isn't the best but I use very little product and it is enough to get the job done. It claims to make the skin less oily and shiny, I use this at night so I'm not sure it works but I have been less oily which is amazing for my really oily skin. 

     As for the Va-Va-Vivid... it is the best. I used the Wave before and this is a better experience. Since you use it with a cleanser instead of pads you can be more versatile. I want to try it with other cleansers too just to make sure it is as great as I think. It has buttons that cause it to vibrate through the handle. It has pretty long, soft bristles that work the cleaner into a great lather and work it all over your face. It works well into the contours of your nose and into the smaller places of your face. The only down side is that it isn't very gentle on your eyes. I just wipe off the cleaner off the bristles and work it into my eyes. 

     The Olay® Fresh Effects {Va-Va-Vivid!} Powered Contour Cleansing System is honestly the best and I love it so much. I hope this thing never dies and even if it does I will run back to the store and buy another and maybe pick up some of the new Fresh Effect line.

Influenster SweetHeart VoxBox 2013

     Hello! I have once again have been fortunate to receive and VoxBox via Influenster. This is my second VoxBox, I also received the College VoxBox which I did a review for on my other blog. I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. Basically Influenster is a wonderful site where you can join a great community of people who share their views on everything from products to TV shows to restaurants. Influenster allows you to earn badges based on your interests and lifestyle, badges such as: Fashionista, Gadeteer, Bow-Wow, and much more. Influenster then uses these badges and your activity on the site (Influenster Score) to determine who should receive a free box of products to try and give their opinions of called a VoxBox.

      This blog is mostly going to be an overview of the products and the box. I will do more in-depth reviews and maybe some videos on the individual products. Starting off with SkinnyGirl Daily Bar, I got mine in Greek Yogurt Blueberry Crisp. It was very delicious it was creamy and crispy while the the chunks of fruit were soft. The blueberry added a nice tang while the cream at the bottom of the bar was sweet. It does definitely taste like a low calorie bar though, it has that signature after taste that low calorie bars have. All in all for such a small calorie count it tastes great, makes you feel satisfied and indulged. I give the SkinnyGirl Daily Bars 4.5/5.

    Next, the Secret Clinical Strength Deodorant.  At first I was kind of put off by it because it is not the Secret powder solid I have used ever since I started using deodorant. The Clinical Strength Deodorant is kind of hard to explain... it's like a semi liquified powder solid that you push up through the holes at the top of the package and spread on your arm pit. Unlike a normal powder solid it takes about twice as long to dry and you use a lot of product (after the month that I have had the sample size it is almost gone). The major plus is that it works like a charm! It lasts all day, even through an intense workout, without reapplying. It has a great scent too, the citrus sent is very refreshing and doesn't clash with the perfume. All in all I love it I just wish the product wouldn't get used up so fast. I give the Secret Clinical Strength Deodorant 4/5.

     Next, the Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray. I have super stick straight hair and I love it give it heat free texture about 4 times a week. I thought the idea of a sea salt spray was amazing and I was about to DIY my own but so I was super excited to get the Not Your Mother's one in my VoxBox. It is very easy to use and the packaging is great for covering all my hair evenly. I have used it a lot and there still seems to be a good amount left in the bottle so a little goes a long way. I also noticed that it works quickly, it helps my hair dry faster and adds noticeable volume and texture. There is almost no smell too. I give the Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray 5/5 and I can't wait to try other products.

     Last, but not least, is the Olay Fresh Effects Va-Va-Vivid! Powered Contour System. This had to be the gem of the VoxBox. I have used it every day since I got it and I am in love. It is by far the best cleanser I have used and it blows my Neutrogena Wave out of the water. I haven't tried using the Va-Va-Vidvid with other cleansers but I think it could work well with anything. It's shape is a but odd but it works well with the shape of my face. It has significantly reduced my scars and the over all look and feel of my skin. My only complaint is that it is pretty rough on my eyes but I just rub the cleaner from my face into my eyes using my fingers. I give the Olay Fresh Effects Va-Va-Vivid! Powered Contour System 5/5. I am also very excited to try out the rest of the products in the line like the BB Cream and scrub.
